Background

Dubrovnik is a quaint European restaurant located at Solaris, Mont Kiara that simply exudes a truly unique chic dinning experience with wholesome food for you and your family. From hand- made pasta to the bread baked daily in a wood fire oven, this quest for excellence in food preparation demands perfection and authenticity in the culinary offerings.

Dubrovnik just spells great home cooked cuisine at its best, leaving you truly wanting for more. A lot of attention and detail is given to food preparation and to the choosing of the freshest of products, combining rustic, home-made dishes with the modern cuisine accomplishments.

The menu is unabashedly traditional yet refreshingly different without the artifices of ‘fusion’. The pastry section showcases exquisite mouth watering desserts which complete the menu in true perfection.

Everyone who dines at Dubrovnik will love the ambiance which evokes the authentic feel of being in the medieval city on the Adriatic coast. The only Croatian restaurant in Malaysia, and probably the only one in Southeast Asia, Dubrovnik is definitely very different from the typical Western restaurants.

Offering authentic dishes, Dubrovnik uses traditional recipes from Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Croatia.

All the sumptuous recipes are the wonderfully innovative creations of Croatian Head Chef Zoran Djumic who has grown to love and know the Malaysian market well since moving to this country 12 years ago.

About the name ‘Dubrovnik’

The name ‘Dubrovnik’ comes from the actual named city of Dubrovnik which boasts great historical and cultural values that used to be the centre of Mediterranean trade and heritage.

Looking back at the history of the food consumed in the Dubrovnik area, centuries ago, there was a lot of focus on healthy food, using organic vegetables and fresh seafood. Through its authentic dishes and exquisite ambiance, Dubrovnik provides a very unique European cultural experience.

Different from the typical Western restaurants, culinary multiculturalism has been practiced in Dubrovnik for centuries, where popular cuisine is prepared over an open fire or on a grill to serving up the most luxurious dishes.
